July 2006 Summer in Full Swing!

It has been a busy end of June and beginning of July. Today it is July 5th 2006. We had a fairly mellow 4th but was very nice. The familia and I walked to the beach and cooled off in the water-was beautiful. My son of course took it upon himself to find himself a new family as always and I stood by the sidelines joking I would be back the next day to pick him up. He sure makes himself at home. Our friends came by later and my son took a 3 hour power nap and then didn't want to stay up late to see fireworks so we watched them on tv...gee not quite the same. My husband was the bbq master as always thank god! Good man! I am savoring the last several weeks of having my son officially all to myself and preparing to say goodbye to our carefree outings together full time anyway. Mixed emotions on that but know he will love his adventures ahead.

We went to the Del Mar Fair and met up with the Armstrong's. We checked out all the stinky animals and went on as many kid rides as we could....kids let you be a kid again which is very cool! He continues his gym class.....park playdates....We went to the Fire expo...firetrucks, real hoses...kid stuff....real hot....! Del Mar Races where adults can act silly again....fun fun fun! We even took lil Cam and he loved it. Oh and a Vegas getaway-stayed in Embassy Suites across from Hard Rock....had dinner at Hard Rock hit the strip, got massages there next day:)
